Occupational Hand Therapy

Hand therapy is a specialty which blends the art and science of evaluating and treating upper extremity injuries of the elbow, wrist and hand. It involves non-operative interventions, pre and post surgical rehabilitation, as well as preventative care for various upper extremity conditions. At Two Trees Ortho, hand therapists provide a number of therapeutic interventions, such as manual therapy, modalities, therapeutic exercises, and therapeutic activities to help a person return to their highest level of function. A strong emphasis is placed on patient education and collaboration with the therapist to achieve successful outcomes. Additional services offered include pain and edema management, scar management and custom splinting.
